Flying Guillotine

Cocktails, Cinema, & Kung Fu

PLEASE NOTE: This is an archived version of the website for Flying Guillotine for Alamo Drafthouse that was in use from July 2022 until around May 2024. It was the first project that I would work on for Alamo, and was to be the first of many independent landing pages promoting Alamo Drafthouse's bar venues that I would develop, the second being The Highball. The information on this page is likely INACCURATE. If you are looking for official representation and/or current information for this or any other Alamo Drafthouse venue, please refer to Alamo Drafthouse's website.
This archived version is meant only to showcase my contributions to this project, including initial web layout planning, some design (the fonts and shade of red I used were based on those used for the print menu at that time, but aside from that, I was given creative control over this one) and development of this landing page. Legal Notice: I do not claim ownership to any of the language, logos, entities or properties used. In other words, please don't sue me. And before anyone bothers to ask, no, I don't know RZA. -MCT

To the front most right are a couple of tables with seating. Hanging above the seating are pendant lights with decorative Flying Guillotine blades. The walls are a yellow off-white color that have wooden paneling and a chair rail. On the wall to the right of the bar, most far back is a framed poster for Master of The Flying Guillotine. To the left is a wooden door with an illustration scroll hanging on the bottom, and a lamp with a decapitated head. Above it is a poster for "Flying Guillotine Part II".

Curated Craft Brews & Hard-Hitting Cocktails

More than 40 draft beers, plus two unique sections of the cocktail menu: Shaolin, which features 9 classic cocktails, and Wu-Tang, which highlights 9 original craft cocktails. The cocktail menu was designed by Bar Manager Vincent Favella, previously of Brooklyn's House of Wax and Manhattan's Press Room.

Close up of a set of four posters of for (from top right to bottom left) "The Bloody Fists", "The Sacred Knives of Vengeance", "The Challenge", and "Drunken Master" starring Jackie Chan.

We’ve curated an extensive collection of film posters and memorabilia spanning the long and storied history of martial arts on film.
